Moisturize while follicles open

On days that you wash your hair, your scalp and hair follicles are open the most from the effects of steam. Take advantage of these times to provide your hair with the moisture it needs to stay flourishing until next wash day. After you have conditioned, use a light oil or serum to moisturize root to tip!

Add essential oil to conditioner

If going the extra mile every time you wash your hair isn't your thing, you can do it mindlessly! A tip for moisturizing your hair in the shower is adding a few drops of essential oil or castor oil to your bottle of conditioner when you start it. This way, you will not even have to think twice about using extra oils after you wash your hair!

Hot Oil Treatment

When your hair and scalp are already dry, it can be hard to return your hair back to its normal state with one wash. Consider this DIY Hair Mask that can be made in minutes in the comfort of your own home. Before you wash your hair – section your hair in 4 sections and take your favorite or most accessible oil (ex. Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Almond Oil, Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil) in liquid form and apply it to the root and tips of each section. Wash it out and begin your normal wash routine! Doing this once a month can keep your scalp from forming dandruff, and your hair follicles strong!
